Brendan Mangnitz removing raccoons 24/7 Wildlife Control Blog How do you get rid of Raccoons?

Hi my name is Brendan Mangnitz, I've been in the nuisance Wildlife removal and Animal Control industry now for nearly ten years, and owned my own company now for nearly 5 years. I started off by graduating from the University of South Florida with my Business Management degree. I was not 100% sure what I wanted to do I was really into the gym scene, but I did not see that going far. I was a personal trainer at USF and that was fun and all, but could I really support a family off of it? Interestingly enough, during the time after college when I was figuring that out I had an issue with Squirrels and rats in my attic!! I did not know who to call, I called the county they said they did not do this type of Animal removal, I called my pest control guy, he said they did not do this line of work? So I looked at my wife, who do I call? I ended up finally finding a local company. I was not that impressed, the gentleman was not very professional, did not have a uniform, old beat up truck. I hate to say it but he was your average “redneck backwoods trapper!” Nothing wrong with that, just not who I wanted fixing my roof and taking care of my family's immediate problem. Regardless I hired him, he set traps, eventually caught the squirrel, and half-assed closed off the area on my roof. Boy what a headache, but once it was all done, I looked at my wife and said, like any man would, “I could have done that myself!”

And so I got to thinking, I actually can do that myself, and there really is not that much legitimate competition. So I started doing my research, and really became obsessed with the idea of being a business owner in the Wildlife Control industry. My dad has always been big on education, so I went back to college, enrolled myself to the University of Florida and sought by education in Entomology and wildlife biology! After I graduated, I was ready, I know everything about wildlife and bugs and am ready to take on the world!! Click to see a picture and read my bio at the University of Florida!

Wildlife Control and Animal removal is a very fun and fast paced job, every day is different, challenging, exciting and fun. And boy o boy do I see some Crazy stuff! Over the years my company has grown I started off as an owner operator here in Melbourne Florida but through hard work, dedication, professionalism, and just doing a good job, my company has now grown to be one of the largest wildlife control companies in the country. I'm still out in the field every single day riding with my guys, making sure everything's getting done the right way, auditing, and overall customer service. I fly from Florida to Texas to California, all the time and I see crazy things every single day, and that is why I decided to start a blog, a place where my customers, employees, and people that want to know more about animal control and urban nuisance wildlife can come to learn more about.

Customers ask me all the time about the stories and the animals that I see on a daily basis. So what I am going to do Is create a blog about all the really cool, neat, interesting, and bizarre stories I encounter on the daily. These blogs will range from actual issues that customers call me about, some off the wall calls I get! Its insane when you think of how well animals have adapted to our urban environment and began to thrive. Ill also talk about some of the interesting and hard jobs I have done, and go over facts, biology, and how I was able to remove the animal.
